GOLD SAVINGS IS HAZARD
The so-called Saving in gold pretends to be a profitable financial product. However, neither the Czech National Bank nor any state authority regulates it, nor does it supervise the activities of the companies that offer them.
Saving for gold is the most risky type of gold trade. Very often it is only a cover for fraudulent transactions operating on the principle of the 'Ponzi scheme'.
Although it presents itself as a financial product and promises its clients value, it is not a financial product and banks do not offer it. From the point of view of the law, it is a commodity (thing) sold in installments. Therefore, the operators of such services are not subject to the control of the Czech National Bank.
Gold is a fascinating and captivating precious metal. It is a phenomenon in the world of finance.
Gold. Latin Aurum. For one a chemical element, for another a talisman for good luck, for another a concentrated property.
Gold has influenced the destinies of peoples and nations, trade and the development of the monetary system since biblical times, has been a symbol of power, aroused passions. The story of the obsession with gold begins with the magical, religious and artistic role of gold, continues by minting coins and turning it into money, culminating in the gold standard.
Today we live in a time when many contemptuously claim that gold is not found. There is no greater mistake. Because if the time comes again when there will be a lack of freedom or food, then gold will be the only currency that will provide you ...
You will fix the price of your order of gold bars and coins the moment your payment is credited to the seller's account.
The price of gold is constantly changing. The moment of its fixation is therefore important. If you want to buy investment gold at a price that suits you before it changes, pay your order immediately. This will achieve immediate fixation.
Of course, the last advantageous price cannot be additionally fixed at night, outside the working hours of traders or on holidays when gold trades do not take place.
GOLD COINS OF THE CZECH NATIONAL BANK
The Czech National Bank (CNB) issues gold coins exempt from value added tax, as well as foreign investment gold coins.
The Czech National Bank issues commemorative gold coins. Like investment gold coins imported from abroad, they are exempt from value added tax. These are the only Czech coins, respectively coins with a nominal value expressed in the Czech currency, which are exempt from tax. However, due to their low cost, they have a high collector's value.
TROY UNCE IS NOT UNCE
The troy ounce weight unit is almost synonymous with investment gold.
The Troy ounce represents a weight corresponding to 31.1 grams in the metric system. It is called Oz. It is the most widespread unit of measure in the world of investment gold. Especially when it comes to investment gold coins. These are usually minted in the weight of one troy ounce and their parts. Halves, quarters and tenths. Even the price of gold on the stock exchange is given against one Oz.
However, a simple ounce weighs only 28 grams. That is why the word Troy is important to us!
GOLD COINS GUARANTEE THE OWNERSHIP ANONYMITY
Gold coins are not marked with a unique serial number as ingots. Many investors will appreciate this discretion.
The technology of minting investment coins does not allow their marking with serial numbers. Coins are therefore anonymous and give their owner more privacy when handling them.
However, this advantageous feature can be a burden in a situation where you need to prove ownership of gold coins. For example, in the event of their theft.
AN INGOT MUST HAVE A SERIAL NUMBER
Like banknotes, gold bars must have a unique serial number embossed.
Each ingot can always be uniquely identified. As with numbered banknotes, investment gold ingots can then be traced back to their origin and the transactions made with them.
The number must be stamped directly into the ingot. The indication of the identification number on the attached certificate is not sufficient from the point of view of the Value Added Tax Act. An unmarked ingot cannot be exempt from value added tax.
INVESTMENT GOLD IS NOT VALID ON VALUE ADDED TAX
Investment gold is exempt from value added tax. More precisely: it is burdened with a zero rate.
This fact makes investment gold an absolutely unique commodity. Gold is thus the only real tax-exempt asset. Therefore, you can convert your funds into investment gold without a tax penalty.
This is a huge advantage for gold. That's why people invest in gold rather than silver, diamonds, antiques, art, paintings or real estate. All of them are subject to value added tax of 21 percent.
SPOT PRICE. SPOT PRICE.
The spot price represents the instantaneous price of gold on the precious metals exchange.
The spot price is therefore the price valid at the moment when you pay your attention to it.
ST. WENCESLAS CROWN WITH VALUE ADDED TAX OR WITHOUT?
Although it is made of gold of the required purity, from the point of view of the law it is not investment gold.
The St. Wenceslas Crown, like many works of art, is made of high-purity gold, which meets legal requirements. However, since it is neither a valid coin nor an ingot from an accredited refinery, it could be sold with taxes.
Therefore, remember that not all gold can be traded legally without value added tax.
PURITY OF INVESTMENT GOLD
Investment gold bars have a purity of at least 99.5% and coins of at least 90 percent!
The law sets a minimum purity of investment gold. Coins or ingots of less than the prescribed fineness may not be designated as investment gold, nor may they be sold without value added tax. For coins, the prescribed purity is lower with regard to traditional historical minting. Modern investment gold coins, like ingots, have the highest purity, i.e. they contain 99.99 percent gold
PREMIUM. COMMERCIAL SURCHARGE FOR THE PRICE OF COINS
Premium is a surcharge on the price of gold. It covers the production costs of making ingots and coins.
Premium has a similar function as fees for investment funds. If you decide to buy the smallest gold investment coins weighing 1/20 or 1/10 Oz, expect the price increase to be at the level of 20 percent. With a lower increase, you can only buy investment coins if you buy coins directly weighing 1 oz. When selling these coins, the purchase price of gold is below the current price of gold. Again, you get less for small coins than for bigger ones.
The London fix indicates the current price of gold on the London Stock Exchange.
The current world price of gold on the market, the so-called London fix, is announced twice a day by the most important gold traders. This price governs trades with a volume of at least 1000 Oz. Physically allocated gold in the form of gold investment coins or worthy gold bars is sold at a slightly higher price. The cost of processing gold into investment coins and distributing them is an increase in the selling price of the investment coin relative to the price of gold. This increase, called premium, varies depending on the size of the coins you are buying.
